Is the DYU C9 really a 150km-range e-bike?

DYU advertises up to 150km in pedal-assist mode from the 48V 15.6Ah battery. Treat that as a maximum laboratory-style figure; real-world range can be much lower depending on rider, terrain and assist use.

How portable is the C9 once it is folded?

The C9 folds to roughly 97 × 46.5 × 76cm, which is very useful for storage and can make vehicle transport much easier than a non-folding city bike. However, it weighs about 30kg. The folding mechanism reduces its size, not its weight, so this is not a bike most people will want to carry up stairs or through a station regularly.

Are the C9 brakes and suspension a meaningful upgrade for longer rides?

Yes. DYU equips the C9 with hydraulic disc brakes and a suspension system, which gives stronger braking feel and better bump control than a basic rigid compact folder on longer or rougher journeys.

Who should choose the C9 instead of the FF500 or C6 Pro?

Choose the C9 if long battery range and a folding 20-inch format are the priorities. Choose the FF500 if you specifically want wide fat tyres and a more rugged-feeling setup, or the C6 Pro for a conventional 26-inch step-through city-bike layout. The C9 is the most storage-friendly of those long-range choices, but at around 30kg it is still a substantial bike to lift.

Is the DYU C9 Electric Bike easy to assemble?

The DYU C9 Electric Bike arrives mostly assembled. Final setup normally includes aligning and securing the handlebars, fitting the pedals and completing essential safety checks. Allow approximately 20–30 minutes, or select our professional assembly and PDI service.

Is the DYU C9 Electric Bike water resistant?

The DYU C9 Electric Bike is not fully waterproof. Avoid prolonged exposure to heavy rain, and never submerge or pressure wash the bike or its electrical components. After riding in wet conditions, wipe the bike dry and store it in a dry, sheltered location.

Quick Summary
The DYU C9 20″ Long-Range Electric Bike is a premium foldable eBike designed for city commuting, touring, and everyday adventure. Combining an efficient 250 W motor with a high-capacity 48V 15.6Ah removable battery, it delivers an impressive range that can reach up to 150 km on pedal-assist and a smooth, responsive ride that’s perfect for urban streets and light off-road paths.

Smooth & Responsive Power
The brushless 250 W motor provides dependable pedal support up to the legal UK/EU top speed of 25 km/h, while the wide 20″ tyres and shock-absorbing frame deliver a comfortable ride on surfaces from paved roads to gravel paths.

Long-Range Battery Performance
With its large 15.6 Ah battery pack, the C9 is built for long journeys and daily commuting without constant recharging. Real-world ride distances can vary depending on assist level, terrain, and rider weight, but the efficient battery system pushes this model into the long-range category for foldable eBikes.

Comfort & Control
Hydraulic disc brakes provide strong, consistent stopping power in varied conditions, while the ergonomic frame geometry and suspension components smooth out bumps for a more enjoyable ride. The LCD display gives clear visibility over speed, battery level, and assist mode at a glance.
