How long will the Carrara take to heat from cold?

The first heat-up depends on the temperature of the fresh water and the surrounding air. On a typical UK summer day, Lay-Z-Spa advises allowing approximately 6–12 hours to reach 40°C. Its foam walls and insulated cover help reduce heat loss once the water is warm.

How much space does the Carrara need with its built-in pump?

The Carrara is approximately 170 cm in diameter, and the UltraFit pump is built into the liner, so there is no separate external pump increasing its footprint. Leave clear space around the controls, cable and filter access, and use a firm, flat and level base.

What Wi-Fi connection does the Lay-Z-Spa Carrara require?

The Lay-Z-Spa app supports a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection. Lay-Z-Spa advises that 5 GHz mesh networks are not officially supported, and some 4G home-internet services, including Three and Smarty, may be incompatible. A strong Wi-Fi signal at the hot tub location is important for stable app control.

Do I need chemicals to use for the Lay-Z-Spa Carrara Hot Tub?

Yes. Hot tub chemicals are required to keep the water clean, safe and properly balanced. You will normally need chlorine or bromine, pH treatments and testing strips. Chemicals are not included unless specifically stated on the product page, but compatible starter kits are available separately.

Can I leave the Lay-Z-Spa Carrara Hot Tub set up all year round?
