How long does the Lay-Z-Spa Hollywood take to set up and fill?

The Hollywood takes around 10 minutes to inflate and set up with its own pump, and no tools are required. Filling normally takes another 1–2 hours, depending on your water pressure.

How long will the Hollywood take to heat from cold?

Heating time varies with the starting water temperature and outdoor conditions. On a typical UK summer day, Lay-Z-Spa advises allowing around 6–12 hours to reach 40°C. Keep the insulating lid and top cover fitted during heating for better heat retention.

How much space should I leave for the Hollywood and external pump?

The Hollywood is 196 cm across and approximately 237 cm wide with the external pump connected. Leave extra clearance for the pump, cable and access, and use a firm, flat and level base.

Do I need hot tub chemicals before using the Hollywood?

Yes. The filter and ChemConnect dispenser help manage the water, but they do not replace proper chemical treatment. The water should be sanitised and balanced before use, then tested and maintained regularly in line with the Lay-Z-Spa manual and the instructions on your chosen hot tub chemicals.

Do I need chemicals to use for the Lay-Z Spa Hollywood Luxe Hot Tub?

Yes. Hot tub chemicals are required to keep the water clean, safe and properly balanced. You will normally need chlorine or bromine, pH treatments and testing strips. Chemicals are not included unless specifically stated on the product page, but compatible starter kits are available separately.

Can I leave the Lay-Z Spa Hollywood Luxe Hot Tub set up all year round?

This depends on the model, weather conditions and how the hot tub is maintained. Always follow the manufacturer’s temperature and winter-use guidance. The hot tub should be drained and stored safely if freezing conditions could damage the liner, pump or pipework.
