How long does the Lay-Z-Spa Santorini take to set up and fill?

The Santorini takes around 10 minutes to inflate and set up using its supplied pump, with no tools or professional installation required. Filling normally takes a further 1–2 hours, depending on your household water pressure.

How long will the Santorini take to heat from cold?

Initial heating depends on the temperature of the incoming water and the outside air. On a typical UK summer day, Lay-Z-Spa advises allowing around 6–12 hours to reach 40°C. Keep the insulating lid and top cover fitted while heating to improve heat retention.

How much garden space does the Santorini need with its pump?

The Santorini spa body is approximately 216 cm in diameter and reaches about 272 cm at its widest point with the external HydroJet Pro pump connected. Leave extra clearance for the pump, cable, connections and servicing, and use a firm, flat and level base.

Can the Santorini remain set up during cold weather?

The Santorini includes Freeze Shield protection, but it only operates while the pump remains connected to power. When the water falls to around 4°C, the system circulates and heats it to approximately 10°C to help prevent freezing. Continue normal water care and follow the manual during prolonged or severe cold.

Do I need chemicals to use for the Lay-Z-Spa Santorini Hot Tub?

Yes. Hot tub chemicals are required to keep the water clean, safe and properly balanced. You will normally need chlorine or bromine, pH treatments and testing strips. Chemicals are not included unless specifically stated on the product page, but compatible starter kits are available separately.

Can I leave the Lay-Z-Spa Santorini Hot Tub set up all year round?

This depends on the model, weather conditions and how the hot tub is maintained. Always follow the manufacturer’s temperature and winter-use guidance. The hot tub should be drained and stored safely if freezing conditions could damage the liner, pump or pipework.
